Disney Vacations

The magic is real. The planning doesn't have to be painful.

Why families love it

Disney does family travel at a scale nobody else touches. Rides for every height, shows that hold a toddler's attention, characters at breakfast, and resorts where the theming never switches off. For a lot of families, it's the first big trip the kids will remember in detail.

Best for ages

About 4 and up, peaking between 5 and 12. Under 3 gets in free but won't remember it, so go for you, not them. Teenagers still love the thrill rides and the food.

When to go

Late January through early March, and September after Labor Day, bring the lowest crowds and prices. Avoid holiday weeks unless you genuinely love lines. If summer is your only option, I'll tell you which parks to hit on which days.

Brandon's tips

  • Stay at a Skyliner resort if you can. The gondola beats every bus line when you have a stroller.
  • Book dining at 60 days out, not 30. The good character breakfasts go first.
  • Skip Park Hopper with kids under 8. One park per day is plenty.
  • Lightning Lane is worth it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Skip it at Animal Kingdom.

Tell me about your family and I'll build this trip around them.
